Dr. William G. Shannon

Dr. Shannon has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in Hendersonville since 1970. After completing his undergraduate studies at David Lipscomb College and the University of Tennessee, he received his Doctorate in Veterinay Medicine from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Shannon’s interests in animals began at an early age as he and his dad raised cows, horses, donkeys, beagles and birddogs on the family farm. He began working with Dr. Jim Hale, Hendersonville’s first veterinarian, at the age of thirteen, and has been involved with Veterinarian Medicine ever since.

Even after almost 40 years of practice, he still enjoys seeing clients and helping to solve their pet’s medical problems. Dr. Shannon’s hobbies include raising and training Labrador Retrievers, boating, fishing and duck hunting. Dr. Shannon attends the Hendersonville Church of Christ where he is an Elder.
